4 More Tips to Taking Beautiful Baby Photos
Have you been inspired by your Bella Baby Photographer to take better pictures of your baby, but you’re not sure where to begin? Check out some more tips to help you enjoy great results from your efforts:
Aim for Variety
One of the best gifts you’ll give your whole family is a variety of styles of photos. We all know about posed shots, portraits and documentary-style shots of baby’s firsts, but also try to go for more action shots and a more photojournalist style. Cute shots are fun, but going for the photojournalist feel helps capture your baby in a natural yet artistic fashion. If you aim for a variety of styles, you’ll end up with a well-balanced photo library.
Shoot from the Right Spots
This is all about the angles. Try going from a low position to shoot from your baby’s level. Get in as close as you can to take pictures that better reflect your baby’s world.
Zoom In
In addition to getting those close-ups, another way to take great photos is to zoom in on the tiny baby details you love so much. If your camera has a macro mode or lens, you can use it to focus on and capture a body part like a tiny hand, ear, foot, or mouth. The result will be great detail that is so often missed.
Keep Your Camera Close (and Keep Shooting)
Even if your baby is more predictable, they are bound to do something unexpected that you’d want to capture on film. Try to have your camera with you, and keep practicing. Over time you’ll be amazed by the changes in your baby–and hopefully your skills!
